Astragalus welshii merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Fabaceae (suku polong-polongan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang di wilayah Utah. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan loa milkvetch. Nama ilmiah Astragalus welshii diperkenalkan oleh Rupert Charles Barneby pada tahun 1989.
