Astripomoea hyoscyamoides merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk perdu kecil dari famili Convolvulaceae (suku kangkung-kangkungan) yang memiliki siklus hidup semusim (annual). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering. Nama ilmiah Astripomoea hyoscyamoides pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Wilhelm Vatke pada tahun 1958.
