Astripomoea malvacea var. floccosa merupakan tumbuhan perdu kecil dari famili Convolvulaceae (suku kangkung-kangkungan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Nigeria hingga Sudan dan kawasan tropis Afrika bagian selatan. Nama ilmiah Astripomoea malvacea var. floccosa diperkenalkan oleh Wilhelm Vatke pada tahun 1958.
