Astronia brunnea merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Melastomataceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari Papua. Nama ilmiah Astronia brunnea pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis James F. Maxwell pada tahun 1990.
