Atalaya capensis merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk pohon dari famili Sapindaceae (suku lerak-lerakan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis di wilayah Provinsi Cape timur. Nama ilmiah Atalaya capensis pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Robert Allen Dyer pada tahun 1937.
