Avena chinensis adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan semusim dari famili Poaceae (suku rumput-rumputan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang dan merupakan hasil kultivasi dari Eropa tengah. Nama ilmiah Avena chinensis pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Friedrich Ernst Ludwig von Fischer pada tahun 1824.
