Avicennia bicolor merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk pohon dari famili Acanthaceae (suku jeruju-jerujuan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Pasifik coast of Meksiko (Chiapas) hingga Kolombia barat. Nama ilmiah Avicennia bicolor pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Paul Carpenter Standley pada tahun 1923.
