Azolla filiculoides subsp. cristata merupakan tumbuhan air (hidrofit) dari famili Salviniaceae yang hidup menahun. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering di wilayah New World. Nama ilmiah Azolla filiculoides subsp. cristata diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Georg Friedrich Kaulfuss pada tahun 2012.
