Baccharis retusa merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Asteraceae (suku aster-asteran). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Brazil hingga Paraguay. Nama ilmiah Baccharis retusa pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Augustin Pyramus de Candolle pada tahun 1836.
Baccharis affinis Spreng. ex Baker Baccharis axillaris Mart. ex Baker Baccharis halimimorpha DC. Baccharis lacrymans Mart. ex Baker Baccharis ramosissima Gardner Baccharis salzmannii DC.
