Bacopa procumbens merupakan tumbuhan perdu kecil dari famili Plantaginaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan waterhyssop. Nama ilmiah Bacopa procumbens diperkenalkan oleh Philip Miller pada tahun 1907. Nama ini merupakan sinonim dari Mecardonia procumbens.
