Bacopa procumbens merupakan tumbuhan perdu kecil dari famili Plantaginaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan waterhyssop. Nama ilmiah Bacopa procumbens pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Philip Miller pada tahun 1907.
