Bacopa repens adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan berbentuk perdu kecil dari famili Plantaginaceae yang memiliki siklus hidup semusim (annual). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Karibia, Meksiko selatan, hingga Argentina. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan creeping waterhyssop. Nama ilmiah Bacopa repens diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Olof Peter Swartz pada tahun 1891.
