Barnadesia polyacantha merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Asteraceae (suku aster-asteran). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari wilayah sepanjang Peru hingga Bolivia. Nama ilmiah Barnadesia polyacantha pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Hugh Algernon Weddell pada tahun 1855.
