Barringtonia calyptrocalyx var. mollis merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk perdu atau pohon dari famili Lecythidaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Papua hingga Kepulauan Bismarck (New Britain). Nama ilmiah Barringtonia calyptrocalyx var. mollis diperkenalkan oleh Carl Adolf Georg Lauterbach pada tahun 1922.
