Bauhinia brevipes adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan berbentuk perdu dari famili Fabaceae (suku polong-polongan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Bolivia hingga Brazil. Nama ilmiah Bauhinia brevipes pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Julius Rudolph Theodor Vogel pada tahun 1839.
