Bauhinia caloneura merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk perdu atau pohon dari famili Fabaceae (suku polong-polongan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah di wilayah Brazil (Mato Grosso). Nama ilmiah Bauhinia caloneura pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Gustaf Oskar Andersson Malme pada tahun 1900.
