Bauhinia deserti merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk perdu atau pohon dari famili Fabaceae (suku polong-polongan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering di wilayah Meksiko (Puebla, Oaxaca). Nama ilmiah Bauhinia deserti pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Nathaniel Lord Britton pada tahun 1937.
