Bauhinia exellii merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk perdu dari famili Fabaceae (suku polong-polongan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah di wilayah Angola timur laut. Nama ilmiah Bauhinia exellii pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Antonio Rocha da Torre pada tahun 1955.
