Beilschmiedia purpurascens merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk pohon dari famili Lauraceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis di wilayah China (Yunnan barat dan selatan). Nama ilmiah Beilschmiedia purpurascens diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Hsi Wen Li pada tahun 1979.
