Berberis actinacantha merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk perdu dari famili Berberidaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang di wilayah Chili utara dan tengah. Nama ilmiah Berberis actinacantha pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Carl Friedrich Philipp von Martius pada tahun 1829.
