Berberis asiatica merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk perdu dari famili Berberidaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang. Nama ilmiah Berberis asiatica diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama William Roxburgh pada tahun 1821.
