Berkheya discolor merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Asteraceae (suku aster-asteran). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Provinsi Cape hingga Provinsi Free State (Afsel) dan Lesotho. Nama ilmiah Berkheya discolor pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Augustin Pyramus de Candolle pada tahun 1910.
