Betula pendula adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan berbentuk pohon dari famili Betulaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan european white birch. Nama ilmiah Betula pendula diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Albrecht Wilhelm Roth pada tahun 1788.
