Bidens macrocarpa merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Asteraceae (suku aster-asteran). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari Kepulauan Hawaii (Oahu). Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan largefruit beggarticks. Nama ilmiah Bidens macrocarpa pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Earl Edward Sherff pada tahun 1920.
