Bixa arborea adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan berbentuk pohon dari famili Bixaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah di kawasan tropis Amerika selatan. Nama ilmiah Bixa arborea pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Jacques Huber pada tahun 1910.
