Blumea sessiliflora merupakan tumbuhan semusim dari famili Asteraceae (suku aster-asteran). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering di kawasan Asia tropis dan subtropis. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan sessileleaf false oxtongue. Nama ilmiah Blumea sessiliflora pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Joseph Decaisne pada tahun 1834.
