Blyxa hexandra merupakan tumbuhan semusim atau menahun dari famili Hydrocharitaceae. Spesies ini memiliki kebiasaan tumbuh di air (hidrofit). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Tanzania hingga Angola. Nama ilmiah Blyxa hexandra diperkenalkan oleh Christopher David Kentish Cook pada tahun 1980.
