Blyxa japonica adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan semak dari famili Hydrocharitaceae. Spesies ini memiliki kebiasaan tumbuh di air (hidrofit). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis di kawasan Asia tropis dan subtropis. Nama ilmiah Blyxa japonica pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Friedrich Anton Wilhelm Miquel pada tahun 1889.
