Boerhavia repens merupakan tumbuhan semusim dari famili Nyctaginaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Afrika hingga Pasifik. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan anena. Nama ilmiah Boerhavia repens diperkenalkan oleh Carolus Linnaeus pada tahun 1753.
