Bothriospermum hispidissimum merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Boraginaceae yang memiliki siklus hidup dua musim (biennial). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang di wilayah China (Sichuan barat daya, Yunnan). Nama ilmiah Bothriospermum hispidissimum pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Heinrich Raphael Eduard Handel-Mazzetti pada tahun 1920.
