Bouteloua chasei merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Poaceae (suku rumput-rumputan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma gurun pasir atau sabana kering di wilayah Meksiko (Coahuila selatan, Nuevo León, San Luis Potosí). Nama ilmiah Bouteloua chasei pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Jason Richard Swallen pada tahun 1943.
