Bowlesia tenella merupakan tumbuhan semusim dari famili Apiaceae (suku adas-adasan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis di wilayah Peru, Bolivia. Nama ilmiah Bowlesia tenella pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Franz Julius Ferdinand Meyen pada tahun 1843.
