Brachypterum scandens adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan perdu dari famili Fabaceae (suku polong-polongan). Spesies ini memiliki kebiasaan tumbuh memanjat. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari kawasan Asia tropis dan subtropis hingga Australia Timur. Nama ilmiah Brachypterum scandens pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis William Roxburgh pada tahun 1855.
