Bromus brevis merupakan tumbuhan semusim atau menahun dari famili Poaceae (suku rumput-rumputan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang di wilayah Argentina tengah dan barat daya. Nama ilmiah Bromus brevis pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Ernst Gottlieb von Steudel pada tahun 1854.
