Brunfelsia macrocarpa merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk perdu atau pohon dari famili Solanaceae (suku terong-terongan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah di wilayah Kolombia (Pulau Gorgona), Ekuador (Esmeraldas). Nama ilmiah Brunfelsia macrocarpa diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Timothy Charles Plowman pada tahun 1973.
