Brunfelsia portoricensis adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan berbentuk perdu dari famili Solanaceae (suku terong-terongan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah di wilayah Puerto Rico (Sierra de Luquilla). Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan puerto rico raintree. Nama ilmiah Brunfelsia portoricensis diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Karl (Carl) Wilhelm Leopold Krug pada tahun 1895.
