Buchnera capitata merupakan tumbuhan hemiparasit berumur semusim dari famili Orobanchaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering di kawasan tropis Afrika, Madagaskar. Nama ilmiah Buchnera capitata pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Nicolaas Laurens Burman pada tahun 1768.
