Bulbostylis barbata adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan semusim dari famili Cyperaceae (suku teki-tekian). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering di kawasan tropis dan subtropis Afrika, Eropa dan Asia. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan watergrass. Nama ilmiah Bulbostylis barbata diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Christen Friis Rottbøll pada tahun 1893.
