Bulbostylis contexta adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan menahun dari famili Cyperaceae (suku teki-tekian). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Ethiopia, Afrika Selatan, hingga Madagaskar. Nama ilmiah Bulbostylis contexta diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Christian Gottfried Daniel Nees von Esenbeck pada tahun 1963.
