Bulbostylis hispidula subsp. pyriformis merupakan tumbuhan semusim dari famili Cyperaceae (suku teki-tekian). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Eritrea hingga Afrika Selatan. Nama ilmiah Bulbostylis hispidula subsp. pyriformis diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Kaare Arnstein Lye pada tahun 1983.
