Bulbostylis major adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan menahun dari famili Cyperaceae (suku teki-tekian). Spesies ini memiliki kebiasaan membentuk rimpang atau stolon. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Brazil hingga Bolivia dan Argentina timur laut. Nama ilmiah Bulbostylis major diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Eduard Palla pada tahun 1908.
