Bulbostylis oritrephes merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Cyperaceae (suku teki-tekian). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering di kawasan tropis Afrika dan Afrika Selatan. Nama ilmiah Bulbostylis oritrephes pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Henry Nicholas Ridley pada tahun 1894.
