Bulbostylis truncata merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Cyperaceae (suku teki-tekian). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah di kawasan tropis Amerika selatan. Nama ilmiah Bulbostylis truncata pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Christian Gottfried Daniel Nees von Esenbeck pada tahun 1993.
Bulbostylis capillaris var. glabra Uittien Oncostylis truncata Nees Stenophyllus capillaris f. truncatus (Nees) H.Pfeiff.
