Burmannia tenella adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan holomikotrofik dari famili Burmanniaceae yang tumbuh menahun. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah di kawasan tropis Amerika selatan. Nama ilmiah Burmannia tenella diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama George Bentham pada tahun 1855.
