Cajanus cinereus merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk perdu dari famili Fabaceae (suku polong-polongan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma gurun pasir atau sabana kering di wilayah Australia Barat bagian utara dan barat laut, Northern Territory utara-tengah. Nama ilmiah Cajanus cinereus pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Ferdinand von Mueller pada tahun 1882.
