Cakile edentula adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan semusim atau menahun dari famili Brassicaceae (suku sawi-sawian). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Coasts from Labrador, North Carolina, hingga Great Lakes Reg.. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan american searocket. Nama ilmiah Cakile edentula pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Jacob Bigelow pada tahun 1830.
