Calamagrostis perplexa merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Poaceae (suku rumput-rumputan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang di wilayah New York (Tompkins County, Columbia County, Ulster County). Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan wood reedgrass. Nama ilmiah Calamagrostis perplexa pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Frank Lamson Scribner pada tahun 1901.
