Calliandra aeschynomenoides merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk perdu dari famili Fabaceae (suku polong-polongan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering di wilayah Brazil timur laut (Bahia timur laut, Pernambuco tengah). Nama ilmiah Calliandra aeschynomenoides pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis George Bentham pada tahun 1876.
