Calochortus luteus merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Liliaceae. Spesies ini memiliki kebiasaan membetuk umbi lapis. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis di wilayah California. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan yellow mariposa lily. Nama ilmiah Calochortus luteus diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama David Douglas pada tahun 1833.
