Nyamplung adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan berbentuk pohon dari famili Calophyllaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah. Nyamplung juga dikenal dengan sebutan lain yaitu dingkaran (Sulawesi). Nama ilmiah Calophyllum inophyllum pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Carolus Linnaeus dalam Species Plantarum tahun 1753.
