Camellia costata merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk perdu atau pohon dari famili Theaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah di wilayah China (Guizhou tenggara, Guangxi utara, Guangdong barat laut). Nama ilmiah Camellia costata pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Shiu-Ying Hu pada tahun 1981.
